RIDE ON THE FOOTPLATE OF A STEAM ENGINE DURING THE SPRING STEAM GALA

There are still footplate rides available on some trains during the Spring Steam Gala. They are for a 20 mile run over the whole length of the line and cost £150 giving an insight into how trains are worked over the gradients of the line and offer an unusual viewpoint for the event.

The vacancies remaining are:-

Saturday March 5th:- the 09.50 from Bishops Lydeard aboard 7F 53809.

Sunday March 6th: the 1555 from Minehead aboard Standard 4mt 80043

Thursday March 10th:- the 09.50 from Minehead aboard 7F 53808, and the 09.50 from Bishops Lydeard with 80043.

Saturday March 12th:- the 14.45 from Minehead aboard 53808.
