Penbridge Court nestles between the Quantock and Brendon Hills in deepest Somerset, where the rural hush is disturbed only by the bats and the bees. Oh, and by the clatter of heels, the clink of glasses and the peel of laughter. That’ll be you and your friends.
Invade this sandstone and timber barn and cottages and revel in the luxury of oak and elm beams, feature gallery, huge fireplace and rustically refurbished country kitchen. The 200 year-old barns have been lovingly restored to create a country base for up to 25 guests.
When you plan your party, factor in the two-metre hot tub, the flat-screen TVs, the wifi and the stunning gardens that await your marquee. At the end of a long night, the log burner sets the scene for tall tales over long drinks.
Fairies at the bottom of the garden? No, but we can offer a steam train – just wander the footpath to the lineside. Other post-hangover delights include trekking or riding, woodland crafts, crafting rustic furniture, or just sinking real ale in the Farmers Arms or Blue Ball Inn.
The 200 year old lovingly restored Barn has six bedrooms. There are three doubles, all en-suite and 3 twin rooms, one has en-suite with a shared large bathroom for the other two.
The Barn also has two chair beds, an Alice bed, a Z Bed and two cots. This allows parties of upto 25+ people to use the Estate comfortably.
Stable Cottage comprises one double and one twin bedroom and also has it's own bathroom, kitchen and living room.
Byre Cottage sleeps 2 in a double bedroom and has it's own shower room, kitchen and living room.
Sunset Cottage has a double bed with it's own en-suite bathroom and, similarly, it's own kitchen and living room.
Both Sunset & Byre Cottages have sofa beds in their living room.
